Provide First Aid

This course will provide you with the ability to recognise basic signs and symptoms of various illnesses and injury and subsequent provision of appropriate treatment or assistance.

Successful candidates will receive a Statement of Attainment for Units of Competency from the HLT Health Training Package:

  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
  • HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
  • HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Suitable for new learners and people wanting reaccreditation. In this course you will learn the necessary skills to Provide First Aid. Additionally‚ this course includes Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation component.

Prerequisites

There is no prior learning required for the full course. It is recommended that candidates are 14 in the calendar year they attempt the course.

Practical

  • Resuscitation (2 minutes of CPR on the ground - Adult; 2 minutes of CPR at tablet height - infant)
  • Bandaging
  • Slings and splints
  • Micro session scenarios
