Provide First Aid in an education and care setting - eLearning with practical assessment

The Provide First Aid in an Education and Care setting course is designed for personnel who are required to provide a first aid response in emergencies to infants, children and adults. The course applies to early childhood workers and educators who work with school age children in outside school hours care and vacation programs. Guidelines are aligned with the current Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

This course offers expert professional training with a strong focus on practical skills. Upon successful completion, you will receive a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment with the following units of competency:
  • HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support
  • HLTAID011 Provide first aid
  • HLTAID012 Provide first aid in an education and care setting
The course consists of the pre-course learning (in your Learner Portal) and a face-to-face workshop. The pre-course learning and knowledge assessments must be completed prior to attending the face-to-face training.
